Container Vans

When buying a truck, doing a little background homework will help you keep some extra money in your pocket.  In the past, trucks were designed down to the basic requirements, without any options to choose from, and they all looked very much alike.  There are different truck styles made by different manufacturers, but a truck is still a truck, no matter how you look at it.

Trucks are hard-working machines, transporting heavy cargo to various destinations.  Although there are some truck fanatics who customize their trucks and have them race other trucks.  Trucks can be categorized as box/straight trucks, crew cabs, extended cab, flat bed, sleeper tractor, tow trucks, utility/service trucks, pick-up trucks, and other specially-designed trucks.

Today, people have a lot of choices, from the basic hardworking trucks to stunning posh sedans.  Trucks also come in varied sizes, from compact trucks that have the power to tow about 3,000 pounds, hold trailers, and do other towing tasks.

There are trucks that have been designed for one sole purpose; they are specially made to do a particular job. A good example are fire trucks and the concrete mixers. There are refrigerated trucks that are used to transport perishable goods. These refrigerated trucks can transport goods that need very low temperature to keep them from spoiling. A refrigerated truck may be a van truck or any truck that can be fitted with various types of mechanical refrigeration system.  There are also trucks that hold container vans, which are intended to be used continuously, being loaded with a new cargo to be taken to a new destination as soon as it is being emptied of the previous cargo. There are five common standard lengths for container vans: 20 feet, 40 feet, 48 feet, and 53 feet.  A 40-foot container van is the most popular, being used all around the world.  Longer container vans have become more common especially in North America.
